Our Vision

We are excited about what God is doing in Japan in spite of the challenges. We are eager to share His love with people there. God has given us both different gifts and skills that we wish to use for the benefit of the Japanese church. The organization we partnering with is OMF International. The link below gives a brief description about how God used them over the last 150 years.

OMF holds to similar convictions as we do and is focused on bringing the gospel of Jesus in all its fullness across to the billions living in East Asia. OMF also has a long term focus for its missionaries, something that resonates in us since it usually takes years of hard work before lasting fruit can be seen, especially in a tough country like Japan. We will be working to achieve the overall vision of OMF but we are also trusting God to assist us in realizing our personal threefold vision:

1. To become competent in Japanese language and culture so to communicate the gospel in the most clear and effective way. To accomplish this we will spend our first two years doing language and culture training at OMF Japan’s language center in Sapporo.
2. To be part of God’s disciple making mission in the unreached country of Japan. We are asking God for a few Japanese that we can disciple in the faith. The Japanese will be FAR better missionaries than us and so part of our vision will be to help encourage a disciple making lifestyle among the Japanese. 
3. To be involved in planting and assisting indigenous, Biblical churches in Japan. In order for Japan to be considered a reached nation we need to have 1 church for every 1500 Japanese. To achieve this goal we still need to plant another 75000 churches in Japan. The country still has 22 cities and 546 towns without a single church. Church planting is a particularly important need and one we are keen to assist with. 

Like Paul we cry these words: and thus I make it my ambition to preach the gospel, not where Christ has already been named…Romans 15:20
